Ultimately, you will have to play part in that answer.  They are, after all, your dreams.  However, there is one very common thread.

Many of us fall victim to the belief that (a) having it all will (b) make us happy.  “Being a size eight with a plush corner office will make all of my woes go away.”

I lived that belief for twenty a few years.  And, for me, that belief in that order was a lie.  The longer I believed it, the further from a size eight I became.

I now subscribe to the flipped around belief that (b) being happy will allow me to (a) have it all.  Not only have it, but dream, create, sleep, breathe and wallow in it.  And “it all” doesn’t revolve around society’s view of thin or successful.  It’s my own version of (c) all of the above.

“All of the above” includes (and is not limited to):

  • Living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle;
  • Becoming comfortable in your own skin;
  • Losing stress & weight;
  • Gaining health & joy;
  • Expanding your comfort zone (outside of your skin);
  • Fulfilling your life’s purpose;
  • And laughing along the way.

You can also dream, create, sleep, breathe and wallow in your own version of (c) “All of The Above!”  How cool is that!?

This is what I believe coaching is all about.

It’s a partnership of compassion mixed with a huge dose of truth and humor.  The process is a mixture of being truthful about where you are (and why), clarifying where you want to be, and then closing the gap between the two.

While there’s that mental and physical weighty stuff to lose… there is so much more to be gained!
